Greetings, Catholic fashionistas! I hope that everyone is enjoying a blessed and festive season celebrating the birth of Our Lord Jesus “at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold,” as the prayer of the St. Andrew’s Christmas Novena puts it. As stated in the title, today is Holy Family Sunday, and in honor of the feast, I reposted a meditation on Saint Joseph that I originally wrote back in October that I think you all will enjoy, so when you’re done here, feel free to click through and let me know what you think. There, that’s my shameless self-promotion for the day; onto the clothes!
This is a combined post, covering not just What I Wore Sunday, but What I Wore Christmas as well! First up, my Christmas attire.
I attended the Solemn Mass of Christmas at 10 PM on Christmas Eve (which was utterly beautiful, especially after Holy Communion when the lights were turned off and we sang “Silent Night” by candlelight), and opted to go traditional: black two-button wool suit, blue dress shirt, and red tie with green and blue striping.
Today, I wore close to the same outfit, but with one significant difference.
YES THAT IS A BOW TIE WITH CHRISTMAS TREES ON IT AND LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE IT AND HOW MUCH I LOVE MY SISTER FOR PICKING OUT SUCH AN AWESOME CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND I WEAR A BOW TIE NOW BECAUSE BOW TIES ARE COOL!!!
*deep breath*…
OK I’m done now. Happy Sunday everyone, and once again, Merry Christmas!
